AIUB eSports Club Concludes AIUB Home Grounds 2026

The AIUB eSports Club successfully concluded AIUB Homegrounds 2026, an intra-university hybrid esports tournament organized to provide AIUB students with an opportunity to participate in competitive gaming in a structured and engaging environment.

The tournament commenced on Sunday, August 16, 2026, with online preliminary rounds, followed by the LAN finals held from August 23 to 25, 2026, at the AIUB Auditorium, AIUB Multipurpose Hall, and Media Studio-2 on the AIUB Campus, Kuril, Dhaka. The competition featured four popular esports titles: EA FC 26, eFootball, Valorant, and Mobile Legends: Bang Bang.

The tournament was powered by Global Brand PLC, with Jamuna Television as the Media Partner. Tech Diversity and LG UltraGear served as Gold Sponsors, Cudy as Silver Sponsor, and Dtech Online as Internet Partner. The event was also supported by the Office of Student Affairs (OSA), AIUB.

The LAN finals featured competitive matches in front of an enthusiastic audience of students and guests. The matches were conducted using dedicated gaming facilities and high-speed internet connectivity, with selected matches streamed through digital platforms and displayed on large screens at the venues.

A formal Prize-Giving Ceremony was held on Thursday, September 3, 2026, at the university premises to recognize the achievements of the participating teams and players. The ceremony was graced by Ms. Nadia Anwar, Founder Member, Board of Trustees; Dr. S. A. M. Manzur H. Khan, Proctor and Professor, Department of Computer Science; and other distinguished AIUB officials.

The distinguished guests presented trophies, certificates, and cash prizes to the winners and runners-up of the respective titles. A total of BDT 65,000 was distributed among the champions, runners-up, and second runners-up across the four games.

The organizers expressed their appreciation to the university authorities, partners, supporters, participants, volunteers, and all those involved in making AIUB Home Grounds 2026 a successful initiative. The event further contributed to promoting a responsible and competitive esports culture among AIUB students while providing opportunities to develop teamwork, strategic thinking, communication, and competitive skills.
