The Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences (FASS) of American International University-Bangladesh organized the Dean’s Award Ceremony for the Fall 2025–26 and Spring 2025–26 semesters on Tuesday, 1st September 2026 at the Multipurpose Hall, Annex 7. The ceremony celebrated and recognized students who demonstrated outstanding academic performance, dedication, and commitment throughout their respective semesters. The award recipients represented various undergraduate and postgraduate programs under FASS, including the BSS in Economics, BSS in Journalism and Media Communication (JMC), LL.B., BA in English, and postgraduate LL.M. program. The ceremony provided an opportunity to acknowledge the students’ hard work, perseverance, and academic achievements.
The event was graced by Prof. Dr. Md. Abdur Rahman, Pro-Vice Chancellor of AIUB, Prof. Dr. Tazul Islam, Dean of FASS, and Dr. Faria Sultana, Associate Dean of FASS. The occasion was attended by the Heads of the FASS departments, including Dr. Faria Sultana, Head of the Department of Economics; Dr. Prodhan Mahbub Ibne Seraj, Head of the Department of English; Dr. Pradip Kumar Panday, Head of the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication; Dr. Robayet Ferdous Syed, Head of the Department of Law; and Dr. Ashrafuzzaman Khan, Head of the Department of Social Science, along with Prof. Dr. Taslima Mansoor, Advisor, Department of Law, FASS. Faculty members, students, and their guardians also attended the occasion, adding warmth and significance to the event.
The ceremony served not only as a platform to honor high-achieving students but also as an opportunity to celebrate their accomplishments together with their families and members of the academic community. The presence and support of the guardians reflected the important role they play in encouraging students throughout their academic journey. The FASS Dean’s Award Ceremony concluded on a celebratory note, honoring excellence and inspiring students to continue pursuing their academic and professional goals with dedication, confidence, and determination.
